P.S. Please ignore any little typos, think of them like little gems that prove I'm a human instead of a robot <3

Chapter One

I adjusted the cat ears on my head while keeping my eyes on my Scottish Highlander on the stage. He wanted to do a show on Halloween so here we were in Edinburgh, Scotland in the courtyard of the Castle Edinburgh. A haunted castle, I might add.

My sweet Highlander was playing to the crowd on his guitar solo. So much had changed in the past year after meeting Wolfe. He saved me from the demons inside, and soon he would be my husband. After we got engaged, his tour started. I wanted to see how my life would be wrapped up in his world of concerts, TV appearances, all of it. So far in the few months we been on tour, it has been great, actually.

When Wolfe was drenched in the world of his fans and music, he was completely at peace. Of course it did help that in his dressing room before every show he got a good luck fuck. Both he and I were in post-orgasmic bliss during his performance.

I looked over towards the large group of a hundred fans singing along with him. It was amazing to see so many people come together in their love of music. My eyes darted back to Wolfe and couldn’t help the smile that graced my lips.

I couldn’t help thinking back to when I first saw him in his dressing room before the show. He was wearing the complete Highlander get up. Blue paint on the face and nothing underneath that kilt. His glorious brown hair was down, and his beard was groomed well.

“Going full on Scott today, are we?” I teased, even though my body started to tingle seeing him in a kilt. He was hot in a kilt. This one was green and brown, and he had the wrap that went up and over his shoulders so that his deliciously hard torso was slightly covered.

“Got tae make Wallace proud, mah bonnie Nera,” he smirked and I sighed. I love it when he called me beautiful before my name. His smirk grew as he looked over my almost non- existent costume. I was never one for Halloween, but for him I put cat ears on my caramel colored hair and had a fluffy tail hanging out of my jeans. Pair that with some black sneakers and a black sweater and I was a very casual kitty. Oh, I also took eye liner to my cheeks and gave myself whiskers. It worked, and I rocked it. I saw his honey eyes darken, and I swiftly closed the distance in seconds while he proceeded to then show me how much I loved the easy access of his kilt.

The ending of his song brought me back to the present, and I watched as he would sing the next song in the lineup. One of his assistant helpers brought out an acoustic guitar and a stool. My heart started beating wildly with the knowledge of what song he was going to sing. His song for me. It was the song that made me realized he was in love with me.

“This one is for the light of mah life!” He purred into the mic and that stupid grin on my face got wider.

He hummed and strummed his guitar in tune. Getting a feel of the strings beneath his fingers. My lips started moving, singing the song along with him. I knew every line by heart; it was tattooed on my soul.

You have no peace, can’t even sleep

Your demons chase you every day and night

I can’t protect you from your dreams

Or promise things will be all right

But darling I

Promise you’ll survive

I’ll keep your heart alive

And make sure our love will thrive

And darling you

I know you’ll see this through

You’re beautiful, strong and true

I’m not one to make promises

But I will for you

You toss and turn, my stomach churns

At the thought of losing you one more time

Don’t ever forget I’m your safety net

When you only see darkness turn on the light

Darling, I’m your light

But darling I

Promise you’ll survive

I’ll keep your heart alive

And make sure our love will thrive

And darling you

I know you’ll see this through

You’re beautiful, strong and true

I’m not one to make promises

But I will for you

Just carry me with you wherever you go

Only after a storm do you see a rainbow

But darling I

Promise you’ll survive

I’ll keep your heart alive

And make sure our love will thrive

And darling you

I know you’ll see this through

You’re beautiful, strong and true

I’m not one to make promises

But I will for you

At the close of his lips, I was running out to the stage, and he was ready to catch me. I did this almost every time he sang that song because I just couldn’t help myself. I normally liked to stay out of the limelight, but when he sang those lyrics there was no one else in the world but him and me. Our little bubble.

He grinned as he lowered his head down to mine and claimed my lips. In front of everyone. They all cheered, and we just kept going with our goofy grin kiss. He pulled back and spoke into the mic.

“Thanks everyone for a great show! But it’s time ah showed mah girl some love. Ye’ve been great Edinburgh.” At the last words spoken, he scooped me up and ran off the stage. I rolled my eyes at his caveman ways. Still my wild Scott.

“So what now? Are you going to go defy the king and take back your land?” I joked. He leaned in and rubbed his nose along my jaw line. Shivers broke out across my skin.

“Ah think there is a bonnie lass that needs tae have her knickers ripped off by mah teeth.”

My breaths grew more labored.

“Oh? Panty ripping versus land claiming. Are you sure?” I bit my lip trying to stifle a laugh when he growled.

“Oh, ah will be land claiming all right. Every inch of yer sweet landscapes. The valleys of yer stomach, those mountains in your bra, that sweet pool of heaven between yer legs.”

Surprisingly, Wolfe talking about my body like it was a destination was kind of turning me on. He walked with me his arms to his little dressing room and tossed me on the couch and then covered me with his body.

“Fuck, ah love seeing ye here with me. Yer so mah fucking woman.” He growled and ravished my mouth with his. I reached up and weaved my hands through his hair pulling him closer. His lower half met with mine, and it was my moan that echoed throughout the room.

“All right, get ready to smooze and hang out with your fans along with a fabulous scavenger hunt!” The door banged open and in walked Wolfe’s PR assistant, Miranda. She was a shark in the water, and she kept Wolfe’s life in the business going. Miranda was about five foot seven without heels, super blonde with brown eyes that screamed she would fuck you up. I liked her. She was also married and ran a tight household.

Wolfe groaned and sat up on the couch with me in his lap.

“Let’s go, get those butts up,” she demanded. Wolfe just groaned his frustration and agreed by standing us up, me still in his arms. I pushed myself back, and he lowered me down gently.

“Peachy, come on lovebirds,” she cooed. We followed her out to a table where people could meet Wolfe, get autographs, and pictures taken with him if they wanted. I usually just sat with Miranda off to the side of Wolfe’s table. But this time he gripped my hand tighter the closer we got. He didn’t want me to sit off to the side today. I looked up at him and saw him plead with me through those beautiful honey eyes. How was a girl to refuse? I nodded and he pulled out a chair for me and sat in the one next to it.

“All right, let’s do this,” he announced, and the first person in line who was dressed up as a pirate came up to meet him.

Chapter Two

Wolfe was an amazing person. If I hadn’t already known that fact I would see it now. The way he was around his fans was beautiful. To him, they were just part of the gang. To them, they were meeting an idol. He would talk briefly with each person, not just say next and sign something. He joked and would shake their hand or hug for pictures.

Every once in a while, someone would ask to take pictures with both of us. I was a little unsure about it, but I couldn’t let the fan down. Plus, I didn’t have anything to hide from anymore. I could be seen in pictures.

Wolfe interacted with fans for about two hours when the coordinator for the castle stepped up to the table and announced that the ghost scavenger hunt was about to begin. I looked at Wolfe and narrowed my eyes. Were we really going to do this?

“Aye, winner gets a night out with me. Ah think ye should try and win.” He winked. A small giggle left my chest before I had the chance to hold it in. He was a goof. I got every night with him, so why did I need to win one?

“Here is your treasure sheet and camera. You may search these levels here and here. No part or exhibit of this castle is off limits tonight. This castle is very old, you never know what or who you will run into tonight.” The coordinator spoke while pointing to a sheet. Five helpers stepped forward and handed everyone the paper and a cheap digital camera for the hunt.

I looked around the room and noticed a lot of people were grabbing the set for the hunt. This would be interested. I glanced down at the paper while Wolfe grabbed the camera. We had to find certain items that were in the castle and take a picture with them as evidence that we had found them. It seemed easy enough.

Armor suit

Painting of a man on a horse

A bouquet of red flowers

A Sword

A fireplace

Three candelabras

Painting of man with a beard

A cannon

Shackles

Stained glass window

A red coat

I mulled over the list. We were supposed to find these things throughout the castle and take a picture with them for evidence. Not too bad. I was going to make the most of it and have fun with my Scott.

“Ready tae go?” Wolfe voice whispered against my hair. I looked up at him and nodded. We watched the speaker hold up and whistle and blew.

“Good luck!” the speaker beamed. Everyone raced off into different directions in search of the items. Wolfe leaned in briefly to give me a sweet kiss and then grasped my hand and led us out of the room.

The castle was amazing to see, and I loved exploring it.

“I don’t think we should start at the top. Everyone seems to be heading towards the great hall, and I think there were some red coats in the national war museum. That way.” I pointed towards the building that held the museum. Wolfe smiled and led me towards the building. There were a few people in there already taking pictures with one of the red coat mannequins but far less than the main crowd. And they were nice. They didn’t mob Wolfe; instead they silently waved as they walked past us.

“Come here.” Wolfe pulled me in tight in front of our first find on the list. The red coat and held the camera out in front of us. I smiled big and the flash went off. His arms turned me into him so our chest touched. He leaned in slowly and my eyes closed in anticipation.

His beard scratched against my chin right before our lips met. I melted into him, In loved his lips. He groaned into my mouth, and I swallowed it down gladly.

“All right, let’s finish this so ah can get back tae laying claim over yer landscapes.” He pulled back and quickly led me around to another item on our list, which was the cannon. We went in search through the museum, and thankfully we knocked out a bunch of items in the museum. All we needed to cross off the list were

Two candelabras

Shackles

Red bouquet

Stained glass

We started walking out of the museum when the air suddenly chilled. I wrapped my arms around myself. What in the world?

“Weird,” Wolfe muttered next to me. We continued walking towards the exit of the museum when Wolfe stopped abruptly. I looked up at him to see why he stopped when he was staring intently up ahead of us. I followed his gaze and saw nothing. Just the exit to the museum building.

A creepy chill crept up my spine. I loved castles a lot, but they could be scary. As in ones like this that were hundreds of years old and people died and stuff creeped me out.

“Wolfe, what’s the matter?” I whispered for some odd reason.

“Thought ah saw something,” he whispered back and then started walking towards the exit. I gripped his hand tightly and conveyed our surroundings as we walked.

We decided we might as well get the shackles out of the way and head to the prisoners of war section. It was an area I was least looking forward to seeing, but we hadn’t seen any in the museum. They might have been in there, but we missed them, I guess. We passed a few people here and there, but there was only one other couple in the room when we got there.

Another wave of creepy unease passed through me. I hated this room. There were hammocks hanging from wooden posts of beds. They looked uncomfortable. Up ahead there was a figure made of hay hanging from shackles. Obviously made up for Halloween.

“Let’s get the picture and get out of here. It’s giving me goosebumps.” And it was. I pulled him to the hay figure, and he snapped a picture. I know there was no smiling in that one from me.

Chapter Three

The other couple in the room were talking to each other about stories they heard about the history of this room, and I heard a few words about ghost and haunted. It made me practically pull Wolfe towards the door. Just as we were about to walk through the door slammed shut with great force.

I was so shocked, but my hand flew out to grip the handle, and the room went black.

“What the fuck!” I screamed. I did not like this.

“Nera.” Wolfe’s voice was serious as he gripped me and pulled me tightly to him. The other woman in the room spoke.

“Uh, did anyone see where the switch is?” She sounded concerned but calm. I wish I was calm. I did not like scary stuff.

“Wolfe,” I said hoarsely. His arms tightened.

“Ah got ye. Nothing’s going to happen.” He reached out and pulled on the door. Nothing happened. I heard movement around us, but it sounded like someone fumbling around trying to find the light switch.

“Hope they don’t mind me touching everything.” The other female muttered, just then I heard a crashing sound in the opposite direction. Both of us females shrieked. My heart was starting to race, and my muscles were tensing. I needed to get the fuck out of here.

“Thump.”

“Thump.”

My body froze.

The faint sound of drumming filled the room.

“The headless drummer boy!” the other woman shrieked. I half climbed Wolfe trying find safety.

I was scared! I hated castles! I hated ghosts!

A small whimper escaped me when Wolfe’s lips found mine. I tried to pull back because now was not a time for kissing, but he kept me close and pried my lips open with his tongue.

The drumming sound was soon forgotten and only Wolfe’s lips remained. He kissed me passionately, and I felt myself relax and slowly giving into him. He was making me calm down with his kiss. Then the lights came on, and I pulled back to look around. There was no one else in the room besides the other couple, who were looking around with pale faces. They were scared too. I suddenly felt a little embarrassed that half of my body was plastered to Wolfe so I tried to pull away, but Wolfe only let me go slightly. His honey eyes were darker, and he had the look that said he wanted me. Now. Yeah right, not in here. I maneuvered myself in his arms and gripped the handle on the door. It came open with ease.

In seconds I was lifted off my feet and being carried with haste towards an unknown direction. I looked at Wolfe with confusion plastered on my face.

“Ah need tae make ye feel better. Yer tense.” My eyebrow arched at his words. I was hot for him, but I was still a little creeped out by the lights going out and the drumming. He kept on walking with me in his arms, until he found a door. I read the sign as we passed through the door.

Queen Ann’s Room

“It’ll do.” He looked around and nodded. The room was nice, with white walls and windows that had little candles set in each one. There fireplace that had been filled in with cement, with large tables scattered about. This room must be used for weddings. Each table was set up with silverware and everything.

“I don’t think we should be in here.” It looked really fancy.

“Ah think we should be.” He set me down on a long table that was in front of the fake fireplace. I bit my bottom lip, waiting to see what he would do. The thrill of our surrounding and his hot shirtless body and kilt combo made me excited. He situated his body between my legs and ran his hands down my waist.

He leaned in to kiss me but stopped short. My eyes looked into his and then he started humming. It was the hum he always did right before he sang a song. I was instantly wet for him, and my body burned for him.

I leaned in and bit his lower lip. He groaned and started to sing to me softly. Haunted castles be damned; my sexy Scottish rocker was seducing me with his intoxicating voice.

My eyes closed and my body shook from the little shivers that coursed through me. He was singing our musical fuck song. Back when I was trying to stay away from him. The memory was still so strong in my head. He started singing the lyrics to “Show me How to Live” by Audioslave, and I felt every word down to my sex. He mouth fucked that mic with every scream of words, and I wanted dirty sex badly. He played my body with his voice that night, and I had run like hell. I was such a coward. I could have had him actually play my body that night, but I didn’t.

This time was different. He was mine, and he could literally fuck me while he sang, and I was definitely going to let him. My hands lifted to touch his hard chest and roamed down over his chiseled abs. My fingers gripped his hips and pulled him forcibly against the apex between my legs. His voice was having a huge effect on me. The images of dirty sex again hit me and this time I wanted that, I could have that.

My hands fumbled to my jeans, trying to unbutton them. My lips desperately wanted to meld with his but he kept them just a breath away while he sang against them. It was frustrating the hell out of me!

I finally got my pants undone and tried to shimmy them off but it was no use with him between my legs.

Wolfe’s lips moved back, and he lifted and spun me so I was pushed up against the table with my ass in the air. He shucked my pants down to my ankles and my sexy panties I always wore. Warm breath of the soft chorus hit my legs as he traveled back up them. Singing against my skin. God, he was killing me. My pussy throbbed, and I needed him.

“Wolfe,” I whined. He kissed my ass check quickly and then settled behind me. He entered me with the next verse and a gasp bubbled from my chest. His hands gripped me and pulled my hips back to meet his with every thrust. Yes! He pounded into me while trying to continue singing but his breathing was getting heavy, and I knew he was losing it. My face fell to the surface of the table, and my hands clawed at the wood trying to grip something for dear life. I felt that all too familiar feeling of my impending release when he pulled out of me and lifted me, moving me to the next table which had formal settings on it. My pants were pulled right off so I was left in my nothing but my shoes below the waist.

His hands swiped and the dishes went crashing to the ground. I probably should care that he was destroying things but I couldn’t muster any feelings other than saying, “Please get back inside me now.” Which he did. He gave up singing and attacked my mouth with passionate force. My release came quick and fiercely. I cried out into his mouth, and my hands gripped his biceps, nails biting into his bare skin.

With frantic thrusts, he found his own release.

“Ah love ye,” he breathed into me.

“Ah love you,” I replied. I loved him so much. He changed my life completely, and I was never going back.

“Nice room,” he said as he pulled back and slowly eased out of me. He grabbed my pants and helped me back into them. His kilt was already perfectly in place. I smiled looking at him. Boy, did I love the easy access of kilts.

“Ok, I think we need to get out of here before we get in trouble.” I was in a way better mood, but even as I wanted to leave the room I knew if we did get in trouble, the famous Wolfe Lennox would be able to get us out of it. He had power and he had money. I closed the distance between us ,and I kissed him sweetly. He pulled back first and grasped my hand.

“Let’s finish this hunt so ah can take ye home. Yer land needs more pillage and plundering.” He winked and then led us out of the room. It was a very lovely room.

Chapter Four

I dug through my pocket and pulled out the list.

Two candelabras

Stained glass

Red bouquet of flowers

“I know there is stained glass in the chapel. We should head over there,” I commented, and we started heading that way.

The castle was still pretty creepy and magnificent as I took in the stone halls we passed through. I got a little feeling down in my lower abdomen and spied my serenity.

“I’ve got to pee!” I let go of Wolfe’s hand and ran off towards the bathrooms. When I pushed the door open to the ladies room I noticed there was nobody in there. I went to a stall and did my business, and when I opened the door, I saw a woman dressed up in old medieval type of dress. She looked really pale with her dull brown hair and her pasty colored skin.

“Hi,” I mumbled and went to wash my hands. She was a very pretty lady, although her grey dress was making her look a little on the creepy side. But I noticed some people dressed as Grey Lady ghosts at the concert. It was a popular costume in Scotland. She looked at herself and then looked at me in the mirror. Our eyes met, and I immediately turned my eyes back to washing my hands.

“I didn’t mean for them to hurt each other, you know.” She moved closer, and I was starting to feel a little uncomfortable. I walked over to the paper towels and grabbed one, drying my hands as quickly as I could.

“I loved Russel. He misunderstood me. James was just the servant. But James loved me,” she spoke softly towards me. I bit my lip nervously and turned to leave but this woman was in the way.

“I’m sorry, I’m just gonna go.” I gestured towards the exit. She looked at me with sadness in her pale blue eyes.

“There was so much blood. They wouldn’t stop,” she whispered, and I was officially freaked. I need to get away from this crazy lady, but she moved in my way again.

“Look lady, I am thirty seconds from decking you in the face. So you need to move your crazy ass over,” I warned her. She looked at me curiously.

“I couldn’t handle the guilt of their deaths over me. I should have ran away from Russel when he asked for my hand,” she said solemnly, raising her hand to wipe the tears that started to flow from her eyes. A knock from the back of the bathroom had me turning to see what had made the noise. When my head turned back to tell the woman off again, she was gone.

“What the fuck?” I cursed. I shook my head and ran out of the bathroom and collided with Wolfe.

“Nera, ye okay?” Wolfe’s voice was full of concern. I tried to figure out what had just happened.

“Did you see a woman dressed up as a grey lady ghost come out of the bathroom?” I looked at him, waiting for him to confirm he did.

“Nah, no one but ye coming out of there. Everything okay? Ye look upset,” he probed.

“I either just had a ghost encounter and I’m freaked, or I’m going crazy and I’m screwed.” Those were my choices. I had no other explanations for what happened in the bathroom.

“Well, yer not crazy so maybe it was a ghost encounter. This castle is old. Lots of things happened. Why not?” he shrugged. I wished I could be as open to the possibility of ghosts like he was. I liked the world of the normal, not the paranormal. Maybe in my books but that was in a book. Safe and far from reality.

“Okay, I really wanna leave and go now, but I know you need to finish this thing. So let’s go take the pictures so we can leave.” I grabbed his hand and dragged him in the direction of the chapel. There were quite a few people hanging out in the courtyard area as we walking over to the little chapel. It was quaint and nice to look at. We walked over to the stained glass at the front of the little chapel and took a picture. I looked around and saw there happened to be two candelabras by a sign in book by the door where we came in. I dragged Wolfe over, and we took a picture with them.

“Okay, last thing is the red bouquet. Do you see any?” I didn’t see any but maybe he had.

“Nope. Maybe in by the royal palace?” he guessed. It was worth a shot. We walked out, and some of the crowd had moved closer to where we were. So I grabbed his hand and pulled him along faster. We walked over to the royal palace part of the castle and went inside. It was eerie, and I was not in the mood for another ghost encounter.

“Over there!” I spied a little table with a red bouquet of beautiful roses. I raced to it, and Wolfe walked at his own pace. When he finally reached the flowers, he plucked one up and stuck it in his mouth, while putting the camera up in from of our faces. I rolled my eyes at him when the flash of the camera blinded me. He handed me the rose, which I took.

“Ready tae go home? Tired?” He looked me over. Like he would let me get any sleep tonight. I could see it in his eyes. The big bad Wolfe was out to slaughter my counting sheep again.

“Sounds good to me.” I smiled and leaned up to kiss him. Then we heard the sounds of groaning. And not pleasure groaning.

“What now,” I huffed. I was done with this night. A large group of human figures were slowly groaning and walking out from the rooms around us.

“Zombies,” Wolfe spoke. I looked at the people and confirmed what he said. People were dressed and acting like zombies.

“What do we do?”

“Ah’ve got this.” Wolfe lifted me up onto his back and ran. When a zombie would reach out to grab us, he was spin like a football star and keep going. We made it to the outside of the building to see there were more zombies walking around.

“Was there a secret zombie meet up that was announced and I didn’t hear it?” I muttered.

Wolfe leaped into action. This must have been a dream of his because he was like a character in a video game. Breezing by zombie by zombie and I held on for dear life. I saw an area that had a little makeshift sign that said home base.

“Over there! Wolfe!” I pointed. He shifted on his feet and barely missed a zombies hand. We were so close when he started veering off towards what looked like a gift shop.

“Wolfe! No! What the hell!” I started smacking him, trying to get him to change course. He ran up to the gift shop, set me down, grabbed a long fake sword and put me behind him. Really? A sword?

“Freedom!!!!!!!!!!” He bellowed. One by one he slayed zombies, and they played along, falling at his feet. He hacked and slashed away at anyone who came near us. I watched him and his theatrics and couldn’t help the explosion of laughter. Wolfe was having the time of his life slaying zombies with his fake sword. In this moment he was just like William Wallace, fighting for our freedom. I was laughing so hard I actually fell to the ground and watched as sweat glistened his muscled back. This moment was priceless. Once he had slayed the group of zombies, he looked at me with a cute smirk, grabbed my hand to hoist me up, and ran with me to the finish line. Sword still in his hand.

“You are a goof,” I told him.

“Aye, and a warrior who protected his bonnie lass from zombies.” He grinned, and I couldn’t help but grin with him. I launched myself at his sweat glistened body and kissed him.

“Boom!” A loud sound rang in my ears. We looked up and saw the remnants of fireworks. Just as the little sparkles disappeared more fireworks shot into the air. It was magical.

“Congratulations, everyone, on surviving the Halloween scavenger hunt and zombie apocalypse! Turn in your cameras to the nearest attendant, and we will see who wins a night with Wolfe Lennox! Happy Halloween!!” The person who spoke to us in the beginning was smiling and clapping his hand. It was over. I survived headless drummer boys in the dark, a crazy grey lady, and zombies.

“Now, let’s get out of here so ah can ease the tension in yer body. Finish claiming yer lands.” He wagged his eyebrows. Even though I rolled my eyes, my body was warming. I was so ready for him to do exactly that. He scooped me up into his arms, dropped the camera off to an attendant, and ran with me back to his old truck in the parking lot. Maybe Halloween wasn’t so bad after all.
